Fromages du jour: a whole herd of chèvres!


B.'s mother brought this lovely selection of cheeses back with her this weekend: all goat (with the exception of the big one standing up in the back left, I believe), all delicious!

My favorite was the long one towards the front right, which had a wonderful sweetness. I was surprised by the range of textures: I'm used to goat cheese being very creamy and spreadable, but many of these were more flaky and crumbly.

It was a good thing the bread ran out when it did, otherwise I would have eaten a LOT more of this stuff!
